The neon tubes depict the ocean waves while the half-moon pieces depict the lunar surface of the moon.
Built in 2000, dimensions are 30” x 42” and are from Masonite and pine strips to form an offset from the wall. This unique piece was inspired by the artist’s late brother-in-law, Bennett Singleton, and artist from the LA area. Upon Bennett’s death, the artist decided to keep the vibrant colors of neon alive, and continue creating unique works of art here in Springfield.
